报告摘要
To design a sampled-data controller for a linear system, we can first design a continuous-time controller and then discretize it. This method is called indirect method (also called emulation method) which is very intuitive but usually requires a very small sampling period. The direct method designs a sampled-data controller directly based on the equivalent discrete-time system of sampled continuous-time system. For nonlinear systems, the conversational direct method fails since there is no any equivalent discrete-time system of a sampled nonlinear system. This talk sketches recent progresses in developing new emulation method which has been very successful in handling sampled-data control of nonlinear systems. In addition, we will also show that the direct method can also be revamped to handle nonlinear systems even in the case when the sampling period is not very small.
报告人简介
钱春江 博士 于1992年和1994年在复旦大学分别获得控制科学学士和硕士学位, 于2001 年在美国凯斯大学(Case Western Reserve University)电子工程专业获得博士学位. 自从2001年8月以来,他执教于德克萨斯大学圣安东尼奥分校的电子与计算机工程系, 目前担任系主任和Mary Lou Clarke冠名教授. 他的当前研究兴趣包括:鲁棒与自适应控制、非线性系统理论、最优控制、网络控制系统、电厂控制以及在生物医学方面的应用. 在这些领域,他目前已经出版了1部专著,发表了190 余篇学术论文.
钱博士获得的奖项包括:2003年的美国国家自然科学基金的CAREER Award、 德克萨斯大学系统的2009年杰出教学奖、ISA (International Society of Automation) Power Industry Division Symposium (2011)的最佳论文奖、the 3rd IFAC International Conference on Intelligent Control and Automation Science (2013) 的最佳张贴论文奖. 他目前担任期刊 Automatica的副主编以及期刊International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control的专题主编.
